Currently, our staff includes two full time engineers and one administrative assistant. We offer our clients an average of nearly 30 years experience gained from working for major integrated oil companies, independent producers and service companies. We also have consulting engineers that work with our staff as needed, depending on workload and project technical requirements. Due to our growing client base, we are always looking for highly respected, competent, experienced and ethical personnel.

W. Shelby White, P.E., is President of Completion Specialists and has been a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana since 1990. He has accumulated over 30 years of industry experience, predominantly in the Gulf of Mexico and South Louisiana. Shelby leads the project management services for the company which include rig drilling, completion, recompletion and workover projects. He possesses expertise in planning and executing technically demanding completions, workovers, and remedial wellwork. Shelby recently served as the Completion Team Lead for McMoRan’s U-HPHT Davy Jones completion, the industry’s highest ever combined pressure and temperature completion. Since 2003, he has directly planned and supervised over 35 new completions and workovers in federal and state waters with Completion Specialists. Between 1994 and 2003, Shelby was responsible for an additional 122 projects while at Flores & Rucks / Ocean Energy, including critical “firsts” such as OEI’s first horizontal well, first one-trip completion, and first subsea completion. Prior to this he was employed with Mobil Oil as a drilling, completion, and production engineer in their Denver and New Orleans offices.

Gregory W. Stutes is an Engineering Advisor for Completion Specialists. His professional work history includes 13 years of experience with major integrated oil and gas companies working in their offshore Gulf of Mexico completion, workover, well servicing, and production operations providing technical expertise. Additionally, Greg has 5 years in the oilfield service sector providing technical skills and services. His combined years of service including consulting is 30 years. Since joining Completion Specialists in 2005, Greg has directly planned and supervised over 50 new completions and workovers in federal and state waters for CSI’s clients. His prior employers include Conoco, Drilling Services of America, Halliburton Integrated Solutions and Chevron out of their Lafayette offices.

Claire D. Frantzen is an Administrative Assistant for Completion Specialists. She has 31 years of experience in oil and gas administrative support including business accounting, revenue payment records maintenance, joint interest billing, tax receipts, and State of Louisiana permitting and reporting. Prior to joining Completion Specialists, Claire served as Office Manager for a Louisiana exploration partnership and was a Secretary at an independent oil and gas producing company.
